How to Keep Your Inner Mess from Trashing Your Outer World is an exceptionally insightful, supremely practical, and soundly biblical guide to dealing with the rowdy and dysfunctional characters that lurk in every human heart. Far more than just a self-help book, Inner Mess digs below the symptoms, exposes our core issues, and helps set the reader on the path to spiritual and psychological wholeness.
This book offers tremendous hope. Bill Giovannetti approaches an old problem in a fresh way. He shines new light on God's method of cleaning up our Inner Mess - what the Bible calls, 'the flesh'. He outlines real-world wisdom for maturing in the Christ-life. You will rediscover practical sanctification and learn how to experience authentic life in Christ, day by day.
WHO'S LURKING INSIDE YOU AND MESSING UP YOUR LIFE?
Your Inner Mess? - Inner Jerk? Your Inner Saint? - Inner Sinner? Maybe an Inner Brat, Dummy or Thug?
FIND OUT WHO'S TRASHING YOUR OUTER WORLD AND LEARN WHAT MAKES IT STOP!
In a writing style that is whimsical, attention-grabbing, very personal, and yet hard hitting, Bill challenges readers to honestly evaluate their Inner Mess and acknowledge how it trashes their outer world. Even more, he offers biblical solutions to invite Christ's cleansing power into your everyday life.
Bill Giovannetti is the son of a hard working, middle class Italian/Hillbilly family (he says that lovingly) and the product of a Chicago public school education (he says that proudly). His upbringing in a small, fundamentalist church led him to an early decision to devote his life to Jesus.
Bill entered full-time ministry at age 20 as a children's and youth pastor. He served for eight years before planting a church in Chicago and becoming its senior pastor. During that sixteen-year ministry, Bill finished his seminary degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, urban ministry training at S.C.U.P.E., and his doctorate at Fuller Theological Seminary. He met and married his wife, Margi, and started his family... two kids, two dogs, one hamster, and one fish that (didn't) survived.
After a two-year stint as a suburban teaching pastor, Bill and his family headed to the snow-capped mountains and pristine lakes of northern California, where Bill serves as the senior pastor of a rapidly growing Church. Bill and his church are part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination.
